Lyn Gamwell (LKG Communications) HND Business and Communications (London), Post-Graduate Dip, Counselling, (Sydney)
Lyn is a communications & branding consultant and a copywriter who has consulted widely to government, non-profits and to private industry – from major international corporations to small business. She also ran a private practice in existential-humanistic counselling for some years, giving her a singular perspective when working with this sector. As LKG Communications, Lyn has consulted to CEP since late 2012 and she created the design direction and content for the CEP website launched in late 2017.
Sal Flynn BCHC, Adv.Dip YT, Cert YT, Dip Clinical Hyp.
Sal’s clinical practice blends the disciplines of psychotherapy, education, contemplative and mind/body awareness practices. Underpinning her work is nearly 35 years of practice and study in the mindfulness traditions. Sal trains and mentors meditators & yoga therapists and is trained to deliver Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) programs. She is a group therapist, former faculty member of the Jansen Newman Institute and has a private psychotherapy practice. Sal’s contributions to CEP’s annual program are in mind/body awareness events that complement existential practice.
Greg Roberts PhD, BSW (Hons), MAASW
Greg is a Doctor of Philosophy, an accredited Counsellor and Social Worker. Since 2001, Greg has focused almost exclusively on working with grief, bereavement and trauma. Greg currently works as the Victorian Manager of Support After Suicide and is the Director of his own private practice – Grief & Trauma Support. He works as a group facilitator, educator and clinical supervisor, bringing an existential lens to his approach. Greg is a founding committee member of the Victorian Loss and Grief Practitioner’s Association, founded in 2012 and he is the Trainer for CEP’s Grief, Loss and Bereavement training, the only existentially-informed grief and loss training pathway in Australia.
Steven Segal PhD (Wits), MA (Wits), BA (Wits), BA Honours (RAU), BA Honours (Wits)
Steven is a psychologist with a PhD in Philosophy and he is internationally renowned as a pioneer in the development of philosophical counselling and practice. Steven is the author of Business Feel: From the Science of Management to the Philosophy of Leadership which explores a requisite shift in outlook from management to leadership. He was an Associate Professor of the Macquarie Graduate School of Management at Macquarie University where he lectured, conducted research and developed an approach to executive coaching and psychotherapy called “Existential Executive Coaching.” His contributions to CEP’s annual program focus on philosophy and leadership.
